BakerMind
Privacy Policy
Last updated: 18 September 2026
BakerMind helps you track what’s in your pantry, cut food waste, and cook smarter. This page explains what the app collects, why, and how you can delete all of it whenever you want.
We collect only what the app needs to work:
We do not collect your contacts, your location, or advertising identifiers.
Your data is used to run the app for you: tracking your pantry, calculating expiry alerts and your waste statistics, delivering the notifications you enable, and powering the AI features — item identification, safety checks, and recipe suggestions. If you contact Support & Feedback, your message goes to the developer to help improve the app.
We never sell your personal information, and we never share it with advertisers or data brokers.
When you scan an item, a receipt, or run a safety check, the image is sent securely to Google’s Gemini AI to identify the food and estimate its shelf life. It is processed only to produce your results — it is not used to train or improve Google’s AI models. Images you save — your profile photo and the recipe photos you keep — are stored in your own private space in the cloud and are visible only to you.
If you prefer not to use the camera, you can always add items manually.
If you subscribe to BakerMind Pro, the payment is processed entirely by Apple’s App Store or Google Play. RevenueCat, our subscription tool, tells the app whether your subscription is active. We never see or store your card details.
BakerMind runs on a small number of established providers, each used only to perform its own service:
These providers process your data under their own privacy policies, which we link below where applicable. We do not share your pantry content or photos with anyone else.
Your data is encrypted in transit and protected by database security rules that restrict every account to its own data. Only you can read your pantry items, consumption history, and photos.
You can view, edit, or delete your profile details and pantry items at any time in the app. To export a copy of your data, or to ask us to correct anything, use Support & Feedback or email us — we will respond within a reasonable time and in any case within 30 days.
You can delete your account yourself, right in the app — no email or waiting period required:
Deleting your account removes your sign-in, profile, pantry items, consumption history, saved recipes, and every photo and stored image belonging to you.
Good to know: deleting your BakerMind account does not automatically cancel an App Store or Google Play subscription. If you have one, cancel it in your store’s subscription settings. If you can no longer sign in, email support@bakermind.com and we will delete the account for you.
We keep your data only while your account exists. Everything is deleted with your account, as described above. Technical server logs are kept for a short period for security and reliability, and contain no pantry content or photos.
BakerMind is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a child has created an account, contact us and we will delete it.
We may update this policy as the app evolves. The “Last updated” date at the top changes whenever we do, and continued use of the app after an update means you accept the revised policy.
Questions or requests? Use Support & Feedback in the app (Profile page), or email support@bakermind.com.
